Tensions between the United States and Nicaragua continue to build as Nicaragua withdraws from the Central American Parliament. This follows their previous withdrawal from the United Nation Human Rights Council after previous human rights violations last year. Other international diplomats have called for the Nicaraguan government to expand their human rights protections and expand civic liberties.
